Broadband Internet Can Save You Money

Internet1

We’re living in the age of the internet and I’d be surprised to hear if you don’t still have an internet connection. If you do, great! If you still don’t have one, you’re missing out on the great ways the internet can enhance your business.

If you don’t want to change your mind, I’ll present you some ways on how broadband internet can save you money. Established martial arts businessmen and start-ups can really benefit from these savings. Number 1 on our list is…

Phone Service

Your traditional business line can cost up to $700 a year or roughly $60 a month. Comparing it to VOIP (voice over internet protocol) providers who offer business lines that only cost $264 a year or $22 a month. Aside from saving this amount of money, VOIP providers will also offer free headsets, application set ups, and even a 2nd business line for free. I’ve personally used both traditional business lines and VOIPs and the latter option wasn’t perfect. Sometimes there were problems and the line on the other end wasn’t audible enough, but most of the time the system worked perfectly.

It can also save you money on cell phone plans. There are lots of free internet call and messaging services like WeChat and Viber that can save you money on texting and calling services. If your employees have smart phones or tablets and if you pair it with a stable wi-fi connection, you have all your messaging and calling needs taken cared of.

Travel

Thanks to high-speed internet, people don’t have to drive or ride a plane for meetings. You can just speak on a team conference or a 1 on 1 video call via Skype. Need to have a meeting but one of your guys is at home? Set up the computers so he or she can join in on the conversation. International businessmen do this all the time, why not do the same?

Entertainment

The internet has been very useful to lots of people. One reason why is because we don’t have to leave the comforts of our own houses (or in this case, offices) just to be entertained. Having an internet connection can provide needed entertainment for you employees when they get tired of working. Studies have shown that checking your Facebook or Twitter page in between working sessions can increase productivity. It may sound like a bad idea, but these social media breaks decrease mental exhaustion, which in turn makes your employee work better.

So instead of buying magazines or getting that awesome Foosball table you always wanted for the common area, have a better internet connection with wi-fi and you’d be helping your business save money and keep you employees sane through-out the day.
