Maryland mixed martial arts school, Crazy 88, has hired Jamal Hargrove, a seasoned professional among the mixed martial arts world, as a Muay Thai Kickboxing instructor.

Crazy 88 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is well known as the Baltimore area’s top school for producing high-level competitors in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Mixed Martial Arts. One of the factors that has allowed this academy to create top athletes in these martial arts is the fact that they constantly bring in high level competitors and coaches including Judo Olympian, Nick Delpopolo, BJJ world champions, as well as expert Muay Thai athletes to raise the talent of their homegrown competition team. Jamal Hargrove has been added to a long list of seasoned professionals involved in growing the team.

New Coach Jamal Hargrove has trained Muay Thai under Manu Ntoh, six time Muay Thai world champion, for five years. Originally from Georgia, Hargrove has a wide range of martial arts experience including a black belt in Judo, a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as well as a brown belt in Japanese Ju-Jitsu. At Mad House Training Center, he was a key element in the camps of fighters preparing for the highest level of Professional Combat Sports including the UFC, Bellator, World Series of Fighting, and Glory.

Head Coach Julius Park states, “As we prepare for our athletes for Bellator and the UFC, we really needed a coach who was familiar with the higher levels of the sport. Jamal has only been here for a few weeks and our competition team guys are raving about his practices.”

One of Crazy 88 fighters, Peter Petties, said about Jamal, “His coaching is growing the talent in the academy a lot. His training sessions run at a high pace and he has us adding in some very valuable techniques. He fixed a problem I have been having with my left kick in the very first session.”

Crazy 88 consists of three schools located throughout Maryland. They offer martial arts classes in Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai Kickboxing for both Adults and Children.
